Mediation, Early Neutral Evaluation, and Arbitration Services.
Mediation is a conflict resolution process in which the parties use a qualified neutral professional to help them resolve disputes. Unlike litigation, where parties typically pursue their own interests at a significant financial and emotional cost, mediation provides swift, economical, and respectful resolution of disputes. Rather than attacking each other, an experienced mediator will help the parties attack the problems that are preventing resolution. In divorce, custody, property, and other disputes, both parties can work with a nonjudgmental, unbiased mediator and find solutions that serve everyone's best interests, especially those of children.
Early Neutral Evaluation is an evaluative dispute resolution process in which an experinced neutral provider provides evaluative information to assist parties in resolving their parenting or financial issues before the great expense and time commitment of full litigation.
Arbitration is a streamlinded dispute resolution process in which a neutral arbitrator makes binding decisions regarding contested issues, without the more lengthy and expensive process of litigating in court.
Attorney Andrew Moran has been appointed by the courts, by experienced attorneys, and by private parties in scores of mediation, early neutral evaluation, and arbitration cases. As an experienced litigation attorney, he understands the value of the swift economical settlements that he can create by using an alternative dispute resolution process to help people in conflicted situations.
Divorce and Family Law Representation
Divorce is an emotional process, and requires people experiencing it to make important decisions which have long term consequences. Parenting plans for children, division of marital and nonmarital property, allocation of scarce resources, and ongoing payment of living expenses for both spouses must be decided. Most cases are resolved without an actual trial, although it is common for parties to need some preliminary intervention from a court early in the case. In completing a divorce, it is important to have reliable, prudent advice from an experienced professional. Negotiation resolves most cases, and it is crucial to have assistance in making the right decisions during negotiation. Due to high emotional conflict or substantial factual disputes, there are some cases which must be litigated. It is important to have an advocate who is experienced in the courtroom, ethical, and focused on the long term needs of the parties and children. Andrew Moran Law Firm has handled hundreds of court cases. We strive to achieve fair resolution by negotiation, but are prepared to vigorously protect you in court if necessary.
Anyone charged with a crime should be represented by an experienced attorney. The long term consequences of a criminal conviction can include loss of civil rights (voting, gun ownership, free travel, and more), adverse effects on a career (licensing, failure of background checks, and more), and adverse effects on many personal freedoms. All Americans have the absolute right to counsel, and should use it. Andrew Moran Law Firm has years of experience defending clients against misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor, and felony charges, including drunk driving and other traffic violations, assault, OFP violations, drug violations, theft, and other crimes. We don't judge you; we protect your rights.
