Attorney Andrew (Andy) Moran has been practicing in the areas of litigation and dispute resolution since 1983. His current litigation practice focuses on divorce and family law, real estate, wills and probate, and criminal defense. He also has a substantial mediation, early neutral evaluation, and arbitration practice, serving as a court appointed or client selected neutral in numerous divorce, real estate, and general civil disputes.
Education:
Mr. Moran graduated from Shattuck/Saint Mary's School in Faribault, Minnesota in 1975. He is a member of the Shattuck Hockey Hall of Fame. He attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine in 1975-76. He attended the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, where he earned academic honors and graduated with a B.A. in English in 1979. Mr. Moran attended the University of Minnesota Law School, where he earned academic honors and graduated cum laude in 1983. He was licensed to practice law in Minnesota in October, 1983, and since his admission to the bar has completed numerous continuing legal education and alternative dispute resolution courses. He is a qualified neutral under Rule 114, Rules of General Practice for the District Courts, and is on the Supreme Court approved roster of qualified neutrals.
Professional Experience:
After his graduation from the University of Minnesota, Mr. Moran served as a casualty claims adjuster for American Family Insurance Company in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Mr. Moran began his career as a litigation attorney in Bloomington, Minnesota 1983. He is admitted to all state and federal courts in Minnesota. He has served as lead counsel in numerous jury and court trials, including personal injury claims, criminal prosecutions, real estate disputes, business and partnership disputes, probate claims, and numerous family law matters including custody, child support, spousal support, property, and other disputes. Mr. Moran has litigated many cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Mr. Moran has served as a neutral mediator and neutral evaluator in numerous family law and other civil disputes. He served as a part time District Court referee in the Hennepin County Family Court Arbitration/Settlement program from 1996 until 2006.

Mr. Moran has present or past affiliations with the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Dakota County Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, and the Collaborative Law Institute.
Personal and Family:
Mr. Moran has resided in Minnesota for most of his life. He has three children, and enjoys spending time with his family. He has served on the Alumni Board for Shattuck School, and served as president the Alumni Board for Psi Upsilon fraternity. He has coached youth baseball, soccer, and ice hockey in Eagan, and has been a member of Easter Lutheran Church in Eagan since 1993. He enjoys music, golf, hockey, boating, hunting, and fishing.
